 Why True Generosity Enriches the Giver, the Receiver, and the World

 

 

Giving should be a natural and essential part of our lives as Christians. Yet many of us have overlooked its significance. Giving is not merely a religious duty; it is a universal virtue that blesses individuals and societies. It reflects God’s heart and reveals the depth of our character.

 

Giving: A Reflection of Our Character

 

We give for various reasons—out of love, compassion, gratitude, or a sense of duty. Ultimately, giving unveils who we truly are. As Jesus said:

 

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

 

True generosity is unconditional. It expects nothing in return. Unfortunately, we sometimes give in exchange for favours or affection. While such giving appears generous, it can stem from self-interest.

 

The Dangers of Conditional Giving

 

Giving with expectations can lead to disappointment, manipulation, and corruption. When generosity is tied to personal gain, it opens the door to societal vices such as:

• Bribery

• Dishonesty

• Corruption

• Inefficiency

As Scripture warns: “Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his household, but he who hates bribes will live.” Proverbs 15:27. Even giving to win romantic affection can result in broken hearts and unmet expectations. Giving must be rooted in love, not in control.

 

The Call to Give Freely

 

The Bible calls us to give with joy and sincerity: “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 

2 Corinthians 9:7

Giving in this spirit produces virtues such as:

• Joy

• Contentment

• Self-satisfaction

• Humility

• Faith

It transforms our perspective, aligning us with God’s purposes.

 

The Reward of Sacrificial Giving

 

True giving often involves sacrifice. Jesus praised the poor widow who gave her last coins because her gift came from the heart not her surplus (Mark 12:41–44).

Likewise, Proverbs reminds us: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25

You can never truly lose what you give away in love. Every sincere gift leaves a mark—on your heart and in the lives of others.

 

Giving as a Way of Life

When we learn to give freely and in the right spirit, we become vessels of God’s grace. Our families, communities, and nations benefit. Needs are met. Love is shared. Faith is strengthened.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

Let us, therefore, embrace the gift of giving not out of obligation, but as a way of life. In doing so, we mirror the generosity of our Creator and help build a more compassionate world.

Every gift matters—but the ones that change us are the ones we give with love. Let your generosity be a legacy that outlives you.

THE BREAK UP

Beautiful was the beginning
Love was what was happening
The Shadows were fine Because the clouds could shine.
Happiness was greatly in the heart
And it covers as though it was a hut
Doubt was never in my mind
Because the thinking was straight, as mine.
Though experiance had use

Guidance I berate

With you, I have found myself 

My nature which couldn’t be remembered many years ago 

With you I have my capabilities 

Your smiles’ like cold water on heated fire has really 

remind me of home beyond a long  separation

Many years of separation my love 

With ambiguous ideas which where unattainable 

Alcohol became the closest friend of the night 

Many years of suffering, washed me from the world of men, 

Suffering that worries the present with the needs of the past 

Has turn your love into an everlasting love

With you I have found the memory of my blood 

And the joy of yesterday, that lingers in my heart 

Has enable the day to bright with new heart.

NIGHT IS NEAR TO ME

Night is near to me 

And I wish you are here with me 

Your absence makes me think 

Your presence fills my mind

With you I feel complete 

And there is no one to compete 

I am filled with thoughts about you to night

Emotions are hidden  in the heart 

But the ears hunger for your words 

Whiles the throat thirst to have words with you 

The Lips and Heart are fighting for your love 

Both struggling to express a word above all words 

And to share a gift with high values  

The eyes and legs are feeling to walk

Love in it definite terms cannot be absolutely defined.  One can say I love you today, the next day it like, nothing was said.

You feel loved, when you are showered with  love

it is not easy to explain how you feel, when you are in love with someone

Love makes you do things, you cannot understand nor explain

She makes you go places, without you thinking of how you got there.

Love respect no age, whether old or young.           When she catches you, she holds you with tremendous happiness

Love knows no beauty.                                                For beauty lies on the eyes of the beholder

Let your love be based on choice not only on your emotions 

THE GHOST

Monday                                               27th March, 2006

He stood in front of the door

Penetrating his head through the window  

Thinking he will see his family

But only the wizened gate

After years of eloping with his girlfriend.                   He is back to ask for forgive

And to bid them farewell

Shouted by him to empty room                                      “I am back to ask for forgiveness

But all into the ears of the phantom

He shouted again, forgive me for                                       I am back alone 

Just to the wizened and out-molded type of house  

Green and fresh leaves surrounded around it

And to his eyed, there was no reply 

But to the double sound made by him.

Dark, Bold and Beautiful
You Work hard even on a Restful, day
Determined, Persuasive and never bogging down.
Distinction is your Hallmark
And you have really pushed it through
Bold and Brave
So do I Rave
Closed are my eyes
But I see it within you
Open up your mind
Let your braveness unwind.
Within my mind
I see young but brave woman behind
You define but surely, i will find
Fear hiding afar
But you stood on a par

DON'T EXPECT PERFECTION FROM YOUR PARTNER

Growing Together in Faith, Grace, and Understanding

 

Believe in Your Partner, Even Without Perfection

Do not expect perfection from your partner. But for no reason, believe they are perfect. This is not denial—it is faith. Every person carries flaws, but choosing to believe in your partner’s best self can uplift the relationship. You may be discouraged by the current state of your relationship, especially if it’s not what you hoped for. But don’t be anxious—people change, and love grows over time.

 

Managing Expectations with Grace

 

Disappointment often arises when we expect too much. To truly enjoy your relationship, you must trust your partner—even when situations seem unclear, even when others speak negatively. Why? Because no season lasts forever. Circumstances change. What matters is the foundation of belief and patience that you both stand on.

 

Prayer and Action: The Twin Keys

 

Prayer is essential, it is the master key to every situation in life. But prayer alone, without effort, often falls short. You must take initiative. No matter how many seminars you attend or books you read, none will work unless you act. The success of your relationship depends more on what you do than on external advice.

 

Be the Example You Want to See

 

If you desire certain qualities from your partner, start by embodying those qualities yourself. Show love. Be patient. Act kindly. You may not see immediate results, but your actions will bring peace to your heart and healing to your relationship. You’ll be glad you made the effort, even if change comes slowly  

 

Focus on Growth, Not Faults

 

Avoid the habit of fault-finding. Instead of constantly spotting flaws, be a source of ideas, encouragement, and solutions. Relationships flourish not because they are perfect, but because two people commit to building something beautiful together—one step, one day at a time.

 

Respect Each Other’s Differences

 

Don’t expect your partner to think, react, or behave exactly like you. You may be calm, while they are expressive. You may see a situation as right, while they see it as good but different. This doesn’t make either of you wrong—it just highlights your uniqueness. It’s in these differences that balance is found.

 

Positivity Needs Balance

 

There’s nothing wrong with being positive, but don’t assume your partner will always share the same perspective. Just like in an electrical system, power flows when the positive connects with the negative. Two positives don’t produce energy—balance does. In relationships, this metaphor reminds us that harmony often requires embracing differences.

 

Let Go of the Need to Be “Right”

 

Don’t be obsessed with winning arguments or being “right.” As your relationship matures, you’ll realize that proving a point often doesn’t matter. What matters is peace, unity, and understanding. Your partner is not your competitor—they are your companion. You need each other to be complete.

 

Choose to See the Best in Them

 

Believe your partner is perfect—not because they are flawless, but because your faith can inspire growth. As Scripture reminds us:

 

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

 

Have faith in their journey, even when you don’t see the outcome yet. This belief can shape reality and strengthen your bond.

 

Build with Love, Live with Grace

A lasting relationship is not built on perfection, but on patience, commitment, and mutual growth. It’s okay to fall short—it’s okay to be different. What matters is that you both choose love every day. Be the light in your relationship, and over time, it will shine brighter than you imagined.
